Spelling mistakes

today i realised just how many common spelling mistakes people think are actual words.
for example:
alright. alright is not a word. it is in fact two words. all right.

the same goes for:
aswell, as well

alot, a lot

infact and in fact

i don't claim to be a spelling or grammatical genius but when i see mistakes like this it makes me cringe a little.

what are some other ones you have found or other mistake that grind your gears?

  4. My pet peeve is 'it's' used in a possessive sense. It's (it is) 'its' unless it's (it is).
